Magnus's player has just finished Heavensward. Although he's been around, he isn't part of the MSQ at all. Please keep spoilers to a minimum for the story when talking to him <3
Magnus doesn't really remember his parents. Nor really a vast majority of his childhood. It was simple, he probably was out playing during the day, reading when he could. The information from the book shsould've stuck in his head... but it just... didn't. His memories of the good times were rewritten by the bad. Not to say there weren't time's he enjoyed being a homeless mercenary, but they definitely weren't the best of times.
His group was called the Azure Ring, and some would say they were vigilantes. Others wouldn't regard them so highly. They had more friends than enemies, but Magnus was happy. He was with his family. Not by birth, but by blood. Years went by, some left the group, others disappeared. And one day, they were found by someone who didn't take kindly to them. Some said it was Ala Mighans, some say it was Garlean troops. Even a few say that they just pissed off some powerful people. At the end of the day, a prison is still a prison, even if there wasn't walls.
The camp was for labour. The cold bit at his skin. There wasn't only the Azure Ring there, there were others too. He tried to talk to a few of the others, but in return they got their tongues chopped off. He was never great at talking anyways. The Azure Ring spoke more in actions than words, and as such, his social skills were stunted, to say the least. That may be why he still is able to speak. He watched a lot of his family succumb to the elements or the guards, some even tried to make a run for it. They were never heard from again, even when Magnus did end up getting out.
Whoever was in charge of the camp he was in made a mistake. One morning when a new group of people were introduced to the group, it took until nightfall for a band of bounty hunters to liberate them. Whoever was in that last group was someone of power, or at least related to someone of such. Magnus clung to a small Miqo'te who took down three guards with one carefully aimed scattershot, and out of pity, or mercy, or whatever they would like to call it, took Magnus in.
Zari Knadia, the Miqo in question, made Magnus a little room under theirs, and slowly started to teach Magnus how to communicate with others. Slowly, he began to reacclimate into society, until one day, he snapped. While out at a club, while the music was loud and the heat was intense, Magnus saw the bartender reach under the bar. It was only for a bottle, but Magnus quickly grabbed their wrist and unsheathed a small blade. Not only did this get the duo kicked out, but also gave Zari a bit more information for what she was dealing with.
As he slowly works though his trauma, Magnus works alongside others at The Twilight Room, subbing in for Zari when needed. In his free time now, he visits venues and crowded spots to work through anxieties of crowds and sudden movements. Day by day, he gets better, though the smallest things can and will still set him off.

Warnings
- Magnus has trauma that may come up in rp. He reacts when threatened, or when scared in a physical manner.
- When reacting in this way, please keep in mind the gentleness needed to de-escelate the situation. Until the "threat" is done/gone, Magnus will be on alert.
- He also will ask for clarification in certain phrases and actions. OOC, I most likely know what you're talkin about, but IC, he will probably have no clue.

Cozy Cattage
Zari's delightful little town she bought with her hard earned guard funds. Renovated to be quaint and crowded, but in a comfortable mess type of way.The main floor holds the dining room and kitchen as well as a sitting room for guests.Downstairs, a landing leading to a projector screen, bath area, crafting corner, and a lofted bedroom with an inset couch.Magnus's bedroom is right underneath, and everything has been renovated to have both of their heights in mind.
